The Reform Club, Manchester

November 1st, 2006 by John Pepper

The Reform Club, ManchesterThe concept was to create an environment which was rich, sexy, seductive, opulent and surreal. It’s not cheap, so you have to feel good. I think we achieved that. Designing sexy bars etc, is one thing, but 7 metres long with 2.4 metres high couches and variations of the same in rich colours - red and mauve, zebra and panther, all living together in a sexy way, within such a beautiful room, begging for occupation.

All specially designed and made by quality people at a realistic price. Another art of the game/role. Everything seating wise is bespoke and tailored to our requirements. Read the rest of this entry »

Citibank, London

November 1st, 2006 by John Pepper

Citibank, LondonFollowing a number of feasibility studies for the potential use of Lewisham House reception area, Spice were commissioned to develop this favoured high profile scheme to maximise the utilisation of space within the existing drab double height reception area. The solution provided a new mezzanine for meetings and rear V.I.P. waiting area, partially screened from the main reception area. The feature curved rear wall, finished in Venetian plaster, incorporates a sweeping stair to the mezznine of Corian and glass. Behind this curved wall is the high security lodge with vision slots for full surveillance of the area.

The overall solution provides a light, crisp, progressive solution to all the needs of the bank in line with the philosophy of ‘project delight’. This means that both the public and clients alike should feel the impact of good design and therefore professionalism on entering/leaving any Citibank premises. Read the rest of this entry »
