Introduction
For the past 20 years, the core activity of Spice Design has been design, planning, and project management for Telecommunication, Broadcast and the CCTV security monitoring industry.

What sets apart Spice from other Design/Ergonomic consultants and console manufacturers is the independence and “hands on” experience of the directors and staff derived from the project management of complex interior projects up to £20m in value.

The Spice team also bring their other graphic and industrial design experience to the table when designing and developing specialist products and console furniture.

Design & planning skills - The Spice team have honed their design, planning and management skills by carrying out innumerable Command & Control centres and tele-ports in the USA and Europe for Satellite Operators and users such as Colt Communications, Inmarsat, Eumetsat, Eutelsat, NewSkies Satellites and Reuters.

How we work
Defining the brief - The Spice team work closely with the client and their technical partners Colem Engineering to collate all new or legacy equipment and service data with electrical & mechanical services, to define the operating requirements, which will provide the basic criteria to start detailed design.

Design & planning - With a comprehensive design and feasibility study, the team will produce a realistic budget and project programme to present to senior management for a clear and objective project over view.

Infrastructure - The Spice Design team have the added value of combining control room design skills with M&C engineering experience ,to provide the client with an integrated approach that will assimilate all power, data network services into infrastructure strategy.

Objectives - The objective is to produce a mature set of agreed predictions cthat an be fed into a set of requirements that will ensure a new facility which will be future proof, dynamic and efficient.
